What Is The Ideal Keyword Density?

Dear Friend,

What is the ideal keyword density? Some believe that 2 to 8 percent is the ideal keywords density for SEO purposes. Other think that 2 percent is optimum and anything higher than this will get the site penalized by Google. 5% keyword density is preferred for search engines such as Yahoo and MSN. However, the question is whether this percentage is really ideal.

It may serve anyone well to abide by Google’s rules when it comes to the number of keywords you should use because they are the number one search engine. So, if they say 5% is enough that is what you may want to stick with.

Due to most search engine sites putting more importance on the actual content of the information, rather than keywords used, you should focus on the quality of your articles.

If you do not use the appropriate keywords in your content, it can easily mislead people to come to your site and although this may seem ideal, it is not. When you have people come click on your site and then leave immediately, this is tracked and can cause you more problems.

Due to the misuse of keywords, it has resulted in a lot of keyword abuse. Many people who are looking for a specific product are being misled to the wrong website, which is a waste of their time. Even if you think you are doing better by getting more people to your site, it is a waste of their time and yours if they aren’t going to buy what you have for sale

By writing articles and strategically placing keywords throughout the article, you are doing your business a great service. The key to success in this area is to use keywords that are relevant to your website. By writing informative articles with good keywords, you will do much better than if you do not.

To your success,

Jason

P.S. The importance of using relevant keywords should never be overlooked. This is extremely important for anyone that wishes for their SEO work to be successful.
