Technorati provides real-time search for user-generated media(Include Blogs) by tag or keyword. In addition, Technorati also provides popularity ranking for blogs using the special feature called “Authority”. The higher the “Authority” of your blog the more popular your blog is.

So it is worth getting high ranking in Technorati. Millions of people are using Technorati to search information, just think about it, if you are ranked high in Technorati, how many extra visitors will you get? Thousands of.

Here are some ways to improve your Technorati Rankings:

• First and most important way is Writing Good Contents on your blogs, so others will like your blogs, this is the key to your success, and it is a long term plan.
• Backlinks To your Blog. Ask others to link to your blog in exchange for links to their site or blog. This will improve your rank and is easy and builds up the social network.
• Ask for “Favourite” at Technorati. Another way is that you can go to find for blogs that have the same topics with your blog then add them as your favorite. After doing so, you need to pay a visit to the blogs you favorite in Technorati. Then, go to “Comments” to tell the author that you add them to your favourite and ask them to visit your blog to add your blog to their favorite.
• Leave Comments in Blogs. You can leave comments in blogs of other people. This way will help you get more friends and some of them might add your blog to their favorite too.
