The internet is a powerful tool that millions of people are realizing each and everyday the potential that is brings to a persons business as well as their personal life. Many people are also looking for the best way to make money off of a website. There are several ways that a website can bring in a person money. One of the best and most common ways is through a process called website flipping. What this involves is the buying improving and reselling of a website for profit. This guide will walk you through each of the steps that you will need to master in order to harness the power of this tool.
Flipping websites is not as difficult as it sounds – though many believe that only the most knowledgeable computer experts can do it effectively. In reality, it can be done by anyone who has the small amount of money needed to purchase a site (or design one from scratch), build upon its foundation, and then sell it for more than the purchase price.
Many people hear web flipping and automatically think about house flipping. The truth is that the two are the basic concept. When a person flips a house the buy a house then flip it to resell at a higher price then they paid for it. In a nutshell that sums web flipping up perfectly. As the years have passed so has the popularity of web flipping in order to make a small profit off of a site.
The beginning of your site flipping career will start with a determination of the exact niche markets on which you want to focus your websites. Niche, of course, refers simply to an area of interest. For example, you may decide that one of your websites should focus on the grass skirt market. After making that decision, you then build your website around that concept. My personal preference for finding the best sites that can be quickly flipped is to use a service called Site Snipe. Site Snipe provides you with an up to date listing of the various websites being sold by their owners at any given point in time, as well as information that tells you what niche market the sites service. But what niches are you interested in pursuing? Part of that decision should be based on the overall vision you have developed for your company. Once you have laid out your vision, you will find that site options become much clearer. My advice to anyone starting out in this business is to always look at niches in areas where you already have an interest, and pick your flip sites accordingly. After all, unless you have at least some interest in cats, you will have a hard time sustaining your desire to work with and flip sites devoted to the felines of the world. It’s also a good idea to select niches that other people will have an interest in as well.
You will next to determine the name of your site. For this you will need to determine a web domain for your site. This will tell people what your site is and what type of business that you do. In choosing a domain name you will need to find one that represents you and your business, if your business is shoes then pick a domain name that reflects that in some sort of way. If your name is too long or does not have anything to do with the type of business that you are in then you will not get the kind of traffic that you would want to visit your site in order to be profitable.
Now let’s talk about design, your site will need to be designed and this will be a vital part to your selling of your site for a profit. If your site looks like it was just thrown together then nobody will want to pay for your site. The good news is that you will not need to know five billion lines of code in order to design an eye pleasing site that people will want to pay for to own. It may be worth the cost to pay a person to design that will bring in potential buyers for your site.
The last key that you will need to make sure is in place is finding a place to host your site. There are several companies out there that offer several plans that will both fit your needs and your budget. One of the options that you any want to consider is if you are flipping a site just for personal reasons then you will want to consider using a free host to accomplish the need for your flipping needs.

Using XSitePro Software To Simplify The Design Of Your Site

If you have ever attempted to design your own website, you know how much of a challenge it can be. Understanding the software is often very difficult and not knowing the intricacies of it can lead to some dreadful mistakes in the design. All of those troubles and difficulties can now go to the wayside by using XSitePro software.
One of the largest expenses for any new business, especially home based businesses, can be the webmaster. To have a decent site, you will often end up spending thousands of dollars to have something that will get noticed out there on the web. The economy being the way it is, you can put that money to much better use.
When you look around on the web, the one theme that always rings true is that unless you hire a professional, you are dooming your site to failure. While there may have been a time that this was true, that day is long gone thanks to programming like XSitePro.
The programs that are out on the market now can be very challenging for an uneducated designer to figure out. You have one wrong click of the button and the next thing you know your site has disappeared off the web. XSitePro takes all of the difficulty out of programming and puts everything just one click away.
Another common difficulty is the inability to understand programming language. The beauty of this software is that all of the money that these webmasters spend on understanding HTML is pretty much a waste of money with this program. You will now have the ability to put things in regular words and the programming pretty much writes itself. If you want to see what it looks like in code, just switch windows and there it is.
Forget the features and forget the coding, how to you get a site to look a certain way. With this program, all you have to do is choose from one of the many templates that are available and you are in business with the look you want. No painful page layouts, just click on the template and your page is ready for content!
You would have to be a fool if you didn’t think that there were some finer points that you would not have to do a little reading on. Before you start dreading it, the manual for XSitePro will be like reading a third grade text book. It is about as simple and easy as it gets and it will also have you familiar with all of the finer points of web design in a very short period of time.
The economy is what it is and we have to save every penny that we can when we first start out on a new business venture. That $3,000 that you save may be the difference in getting an extra month or two to make your business work. Invest in this software and get your business started out the right way, in the black!
Find more free targeted traffic – here are 5 things I did

In my never ending stressful search looking for more and more sources of really good traffic, just to keep my awful boss Jim happy, I spent many long evenings cutting down on social life, looking for some things which might just work, to make my days in the office that little bit easier.
I tried lots of free advertising and lots of paid advertising mainly because I wanted to make it work for some of my own websites I was developing part time. Below are the findings of my 4 months of research, hope they serve you well.
1. Advertising using pay per click (or PPC). I struggled to make this profitable as there is quite a lot to learn. It is recommended but not as a first try item. It is very targeted and a great source of traffic however.
2. Finding ezines or newsletters who talk about what you want to promote – and then sending out a paid solo advert to their subscriber list. This works well because it is quite decently targeted. Just make sure that your headline is very strong, and draws the reader into the next bit of text. I personally either drew even or made a small profit with this.
3. Autosurfs. Personally I saw no benefit in this as most people were switching the advertising on and going out for the day or doing something else. The response rates were virtually nil or non existent. Not recommended.
4. Sending out bulk email or bulk messages to millions of email addresses or websites – do not do this unles you want to face major trouble. The people on these lists never requested to receive ads. Not recommended at all.
5. Using high quality traffic exchanges can be a great source of free targeted traffic if you are prepared to work at it for 30 minutes daily. For a start, other members actually view your website and several of these exchanges actually offer you free highly geo-targeted website traffic. Target by country or by topic – a great way to get the people you want looking at your website.
So in summary I think that the best way to deal with this is to first get into some free traffic exchange advertising, especially the ones with geo-targeting, and then look to expand by sending out some paid solo ads to ezines or newsletters in your industry. Finally learn all you can about PPC advertising. Enjoy!
Don’t lose money and go off and try to reinvent things yourself. I have done the actual testing and the ideas above are my results.
